Tuning

Pianos being stringed instruments regularly need the strings to be adjusted to a standard pitch. In India it is quite challenging considering our weather hence we have greater soundboard and string movements which causes the pianos to go out of tune. Tuning is a very delicate and complex process which needs special hearing skills and reflexes which comes only with dedicated hard work and understanding. Our professionals at A. Mistry & Co are trained technicians to tune your piano so that it holds tuning for longer and sounds its best. Ideal tuning time would be twice a year for your piano.

Regulation

Pianos are a combination of Felt, wood and metal. Due to constant use and weather conditions along with humidity changes the pianos moving parts, called the action and the keyboard, need to be adjusted regularly, just as a cars engine needs to be serviced regularly for optimum performance. All parts need to be in equal balance giving an equal feel at all times without sticking or sluggish movements. We will ensure that your piano gets complete attention right upto to the detail taking into considerations your pianos age and use. Ideal regulation time for uprights is every two years once for non professionals and Once every year for professionals. For grands, once a year for non professionals and every 6 months for professionals.
